Cheng Hong received his bachelor’s degree in software engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2006, and his PhD degree in information security from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2012. His research interests include database security, security and privacy and applied cryptography. He has published more than 10 papers in several journals and conferences, including EUROCRYPT, SIGMOD, and VLDB. He works as a peer reviewer for Journal of Cryptologic Research, IEEE Transactions on Dependable and Secure Computing. He currently works at the Gemini Lab of Alibaba Security, which deploys several cutting-edge technologies, including secure multi-party computation, homomorphic encryption and differential privacy into the Alibaba Ecosystem.
